It's okay for a hotel restaurant. Far to expensive in my opinion. Also for some reason I've noticed that alot of places the further north you go have only ales and maybe a porter or stout. Good luck if your like me and like lagers that are not super hoppy.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch and it was very, very good!! He had the walleye sandwich and he thought it was the best he's had in a long time! We live in the Brainerd Lakes area and have had walleye at many places so that's saying something. I chose the Basil Chicken sandwich and it was also delicious. Will order it again and we recommend both heartily. The house soup today was a Russian soup called Soliyanka, I think. My husband had it and liked that, too. We will go back and will recommend The Lodge to others!
Average food, kind of expensive.
Nice patio section and the food is alright. It is nicely located on the outskirts away from the hustle and bustle.
