We travel from Indiana every year to visit family here. This is a must see for us each year. We have loved it every year and they keep adding animals. It's a beautiful sight to see and I adore the hands on feeding. I saw a negative review based on customer service on the snack bar. That may be...but we certainly don't go for the snacks. The animals are unique and some we don't have at our own zoo so it's awesome to see here. I would highly recommend and it doesn't break the bank to go visit.
So much fun!!! So many different kinds of animals, worth the money. I was so surprise of how many animals. And the add New ones each year!
Surprisingly nice! We weren't sure about it when we drove up, but the place was huge, the animals looked well-tended and were in generally decent-sized enclosures. Wide variety of animals too! They also have wagons you can use to bring the kids around in, and our daughter loved feeding the giraffes!
safari north is super fun for families and animal lovers, you can feed giraffes and meet other animals in their petting zoo. The parrots are a riot!! They have an interesting variety, the animals are usually pretty visible during the day, so it always feels like a worthwhile experience.
This place deserves 10 stars! My family had tons of fun. My kids was so excited to pat deer, feed giraffe, goats and birds. Some of the animals have kind of a small space but that is true even for bigger zoos. All animals are close so you don't need to walk to much without seeing animals. We drove 2 hours to get there with a 2.5 year old, we were there 2 hours and we drove back for 2 hours and still think it was worth all the drive. We are planning to ho back for sure. Next time we will stay overnight so we can visit the place twice before heading back home.
