Kavanaugh's is a blast! Every year when Summer comes around I find myself counting down the days until we get to visit again. Sylvan is one of the cleanest lakes I have ever been to, the owners are great, and they have rubber duck races! Come to Kavanaugh's; you won't be disappointed.
Wonderful family atmosphere, move about and do whatever you want at your own pace. Family owned by people who care about the people who come to their resort. Tremendous options in the area for food, golf, fishing and family fun!!
Kavanaugh's is a resort in Brainard, MN where you can rent out cabins of different sizes for overnight stay. Kavanaugh's is on Lake Sylvan which is the clearest lake I know of! Kavanaugh's has an indoor and outdoor pool and a large indoor hot tub. You can rent pontoons and fishing boats, kayaks, paddle boats, stand up paddle boards and more! There are 2 beaches with swimming access, docks to jump off and floating islands and more. There's a sand volleyball court, tennis and basketball court, all with balls to play with. Kavanaugh's cabins are privately owned, maintained by the original Kavanaugh's family. Many cabins are still for sale. The grounds and facilities are well maintained. I'd go no where else for a quiet week relaxing and playing with family in MN!
Great for families! Giod fishing, sailing boating, swimming from beaches, or ising indoor or outdoor pools and hot tub. Great hiking and biking and walking trails and campfire sites. Fun "duck" races and hot dog gatherings. Golfing attached. Wonderful areas outside for families to play volleyball, frisby bean bag toss or climbing structures. Our family makes our reservations as we leave this year, for next year.....eleven years and counting. We love Kavanaugh's Resort and their great family that keep it "Kavanaugh's! "
