Place needs updating/ no fire alarms screws on knobs falling off, smelly rooms, owners running business alone, No coffee pots in rooms, dressers had no knobs and were stuck, hangers missing.
Would not recommend, and will instead be sure to keep my business at Rutgers, Grand Casino, Days Inn, and Super 8 in Brainerd & Mille Lacs Lake Area.
It was the last resort! Believe me. I wouldn't wanna even be here.
For the price of this hotel the quality and ease of location worked out well. I would not have a problem staying here again
I booked this hotel through Expedia. They charged my credit card, however upon entering the hotel I gave them my other credit card and signed for an additional charge. I asked the front desk guy and he said the first through Expedia was just holding the room, and that the charge would go through. No worries I thought, as this is sometimes what happens when my company books rooms (hold now, pay later). However, upon reconciling my personal and business statements I see that the hotel did in fact bill me twice. So naturally I called Expedia who said they would handle the issue.
Fast forward and its been over 2 weeks, every single time they or I call the hotel the manager is conveniently not present. A refund by the hotel cannot be issued the front desk people tell us (myself & Expedia) until the manager is informed. Must be nice to be a manager at this place, considering you never have to work! I will be sure that my company and other companies that I deal with in the Brainerd Lakes Area never deal with this hotel again! You would think they would revise their error considering it was for one room, one night, but I guess that is worth them losing all possible business through our entertainment company that books dozens of stays in the area.
The rooms were clean and service was courteous.
